I see I just missed the sale at Nikkei place, but I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can buy Japanese clothing in Vancouver. I'm particularly looking for tabi -- proper tabi, not "ninja boots" or those elasticated tabi socks. I'd also be pretty happy to find han-eri.

You may want to try Murata at 15 East Broadway (couple of blocks west of Main). www.murata.ca They have a lot of authentic Japanese products, including clothing. They could also recommend other places I'm sure
