About Naomi-sensei Instructor Naomi Shimizu owned "Naomi's Cafe" in New Westminster for 25 years, and is an expert in Canadian and Asian cuisine. In addition to instructing cooking classes at National Nikkei Heritage Centre, Vancouver School Board, and for the Consulate-General of Japan's day program for high school students, she currently hosts a cooking show on ICAS Nikkei Japanese TV. Naomi-sensei is a frequent guest on local television network shows such as City Cook with Simi Sara, Loving Spoonful with David Gale, and Cafe M with Denis Simpson. ![]() |
