DESCRIPTION:** Community event unaffiliated with JETAABC ** \nFrom the Vancouver Japanese Language School website: \n\nWhat is the JLPT? \nThe JLPT is a test for non-native speakers of Japanese which evaluates and certifies their Japanese-language proficiency. \nThe test is simultaneously conducted twice a year in Japan and various locations overseas. \nSince the JLPT began in 1984\, the cumulative number of examinees in Japan and overseas has reached 12\,720\,000 until the test in December 2020. \nCurrently\, it is the largest Japanese-language test in the world. \nAdvantages of the JLPT \nJLPT certification offers various advantages. In Japan\, the JLPT is taken into consideration for preferential immigration treatment as well as an eligibility for various national exams. Outside Japan\, it is widely used as school credits\, graduation certification\, job screening and promotion\, as well as for a variety of national qualifications. \nEligibility: Open to learners of Japanese as a foreign language. Not designated for native Japanese speakers. \nApplication: Online application: no photos are required with your application\, but you must bring at least one official photo ID (e.g. passport\, driver’s license). \nApplication Period: September 6 – September 30\, 2022 \nTest Guide: Test Guide \nTest Vouchers: Test vouchers will be sent out to all the applicants via email by Friday\, October 21. If you have not received your test voucher by October 21\, please contact us at info@vjls-jh.com. \nRegulations: \n\nPlease bring one piece of photo ID with you to the examination.\nPlease bring a copy of your test voucher with you to the examination.\n\nThe back side of the test voucher must be blank (for example\, you cannot print it on the back of used paper)\nThere can be no writing\, etc. anywhere on the test voucher (for example\, you cannot write the directions to the test site\, etc. on it)\n\n\nPlease be sure to turn off cell phones and alarm watches before the test begins. If your cell phone or alarm sounded or vibrated during the test\, you will be immediately DISQUALIFIED.\nAcademic dishonesty will result in immediate DISQUALIFICATION.\n\nResults: Scores will be available online approximately 3 months after the test has been written. Scores will only be available if\, during the application\, test takers chose an 8 digit password of their own creation. \n\n\n\nFees\n\nExam Fee: $70 \nOnline payment is required upon registration and is not refundable.
