Let’s not have COVID lock our social events down as well this Holiday season. Join us virtually with some white paper, colour pencils/markers, and your creativity on Saturday, December 12, 1:00pm for an afternoon of nengajo writing.
What is a nengajo?
A Nengajo is a Japanese New Year’s postcard. The tradition of writing and sending postcards for New Year’s is a common practice.
What do I need to prepare?
Really simple! Do you have some white paper? Pencil? Colour Pencils or Markers? That’s it!
Any other crafty things like construction coloured papers, scissors, glue, leftover decorative stickers and so on are welcome as well!
What is the event format like?
- Learn and follow to make the basics of a nengajo
- Create our own nengajo!
- Show off our creations
- Draw a lottery winner!
Lottery winner?
Yes. Participants on the day will have their name placed in a lottery for a chance to win a nengajo themed prize!
